《英語のお勉強》病院予約の電話をしよう

病院に予約を入れた　ところまで前回UPしました。

実際に、どのように言うのか　というところ、今回記載したいと思います。
保険カードを手元にもって、電話をかけてくださいね。

• もしもし　　→Hello, Hi
• 新しい患者　→new patient
• 〜したい　　→would like to
• 予約する　　→make an appointment
• 婦人科検診　→women's medical examination
• 先生に会う　→meet the doctor

まず、電話をかけます。そして、このように言ってください。もちろんこれは一例です。他にもたくさん言い方はありますので、ご自身の言いたい様に、言ってくださいね。

"Hi, my name is *** (下の名前だけでOK). I'm a new patient and would like to make an appointment. I'd like to have a women's medical examination and also meet the doctor."

すると、名前、生年月日、住所、電話番号、保険番号、保険ネットワーク名、希望する先生の名前、予約希望日時、などなど　聞かれると思います。もちろんこれもケースバイケースなので、一例としてとらえてください。

• 名字　　　　　　　→family name/ last name
• 下の名前　　　　　→first name
• 旧姓　　　　　　　→maiden name
• 生年月日　　　　　→date of birth (アメリカでは、月・日・年で答える)
• 住所　　　　　　　→address
• 電話番号　　　　　→phone number (resident numberという人も)
• 保険番号　　　　　→ID number of insurance
• 保険ネットワーク名→insurance network

そして、ドクターと話したい内容、予約を入れた理由についてはこのように。これもあくまで一例です。私は筋腫なので"Uterine Fibroid"ですが、内膜症などについても下記記載しておきます。

• 予約を入れた理由　　　　→the reason why I make an appointment
• 生理　　　　　　　　　　→period
• 筋腫　　　　　　　　　　→uterine fibroid (myoma)
• 〜年の間　　　　　　　　→for ... years
• そのままにしていた　　　→leave it there
• 痛む　　　　　　　　　　→hurts
• 出血する　　　　　　　　→bleed
• 大きくなっているかもしれない→might become bigger
• 先生に診てもらいたい　　→would like Doctor to check it

• 内膜症　　　　　　　　　→endometriosis
• ポリープ　　　　　　　　→polyp
• 子宮けいがん　　　　　　→cervical cancer

"I have an uterine fibroid (子宮筋腫) for *** years and I just leave it there,
but it hurts a lot and I also bleed a lot these days. I'm afraid it might become bigger, and would like Doctor to check it please."
